Dried Blood Spot (DBS) HIV & Hep C Testing Pilot online training

This course provides the background and practical information needed to implement dried blood spot (DBS) testing  for HIV and hepatitis C in community settings. The course is intended for staff and peer workers working in formally approved registered DBS sites. 

The course objectives are to:

  • Provide the context and background of the study
  • Explain the purpose and conduct of the survey questions
  • Explain how to conduct a finger prick test
  • Understand record keeping obligations
  • Understand the need for a care pathway
